Notes
Flipped under rock in a small calm part of fast-moving stream. The one pictured is about 4" long and its adpressed limbs were 1-2 costal grooves from touching. Could possibly be hybrid with D. tenebrosus.
Two other giants were flipped nearby. An unvouchered one was slightly shorter, skinnier, and lighter in color. One vouchered in another entry was morphologically more similar to D. tenebrosus. A larval torrent salamander was also seen in the same spot.
