Notes

I found a small (4.5 inch) juvenile common snapping turtle while crossing a creek by walking on rocks to get across. I looked down to see where I was stepping and I almost stepped on the turtle. It looked just like a flat rock because it blended in so well. I picked it up and observed it for a while before returning it to a safer place where it wouldn't be stepped on.
