I changed it to Skilonianus, but still the only adult sized blue tail I ve seen.
Subspecies is skiltonianus skiltonianus.
Changed to Western Skink..
Personal communication with Jon Richmond and Bob Hansen suggests that blue-tailed gilberti would not occur here. Blue-tailed gilberti only get as far south as northern Kern County and in some of the desert mountains to the east. So it would have to be a Western Skink.
Have no idea what species of Skink this is.. Had a blue tail though full sized for a western?? Didn't take better pictures either......
