Extremely dry conditions, and only a few herps found in several hours of searching.
First Gilberts recorded in Kings County.
Not sure what sub species this is. Some range maps dont even seem to have them here. If anyone knows please let me know.

Yeah...I can see how you're in a confusing integrade range over there.
Well I found it on the WEST side..
I would call it gilberti gilberti. If not that than an integrade between gilberti and rubricaudatus. This is based on my conversations with p. gilberti experts about my own skinks that I found in northern Kern county, which appeared to them to be integrades leaning towards P. gilberti gilberti.
It's the green one. LOL
