This is same locale as June 2009 record 26194.
The habitat has been decimated by cattle. The reeds are trample or completely gone, the water is extremely muddy from erosion that resulted from cattle tearing up the grass on bank.
Only 1 specimen seen.
Frog was NOT posed on hat, I took hat off to photograph without bill getting in my way, frog hopped onto hat. Makes a nice size comparison, though.
Frog eventually made its way to creek where it dove, and then surfaced for final shot.
