Notes
Not sure if it is definately a blue sided or if it could just be an eastern, but I am pretty sure Sumter county is in blue side range and it is clearly blue in color. If anyone offers any suggestions about which species to list this as, it would be greatly appriciated.

Yeah, this is not a blue one.
It looks to green to be a blue sided. I've found some pretty vibrant garters over on the east coast as well.
