This was the baddest, and meanest, kingsnake I ve encounter in 30+ years in the field, covering over 2,000 kingsnakes during that time frame. This dude bit, than chewed, then released, than looked for a
better bite area and bit and chewed, than wrapped around my glove hand constricting (impressively tightly I might add WOW), while chewing, than began to pull hard while biting (like they do when constricting another snake). So he was locked on, constricting, and pulling at the same time. This went on and on.. I was quite impressed with his power (for a little snake) and his braveness, as he was not scared for one second.. ALL FIGHT..
He continued even after I took my hand out of my glove and set him and the glove down.
What a treat to find such a survivor...
