My buddy witnessed this Patchnose wrangling down a Whiptail. He said once the snake noticed him it slithered off with the lizard in mouth still. Whiptails in this area I believe are an intergrade between "mojavensis & virgultea", in my opnion and from the handful of specimens I've seen from the Transition Zone north as you hit the high desert.
