The weather was hazy due to wildfires in Canada. Air quality had been poor in the days prior to observation, but was clearing up when specimen was observed. There was a light rain in the morning.
This specimen was found in rocky part of a stream bed that was barely running. It was one of multiple specimens in the same rock pile.
