Notes
This little specimen was found crossing the road. I had to relocate it as some passers-by told me in no uncertain terms that they would kill it if they found it on their property.

Beautiful snake. Definitely looks like a classic juvenile Southern Pacific though. I lived in Big Bear for a while and we had them at 7000 feet elevation on the northern side of the lake. Much respect to you for the relocation!
Looks like a juvie C.V. Helleri to me hard to tell without seeing tail. A tip of the hat to you for your relocation of it !
