A Rattlesnake found dead under a board...
A true shame. This Rattlesnake was extremely large for a Helleri.
See size comparison to boot.
Because we found a dead kingsnake (see record Record 34864) under a board a few feet away, I believe these two snakes were killed by someone... There is a large
amount of human visitors to this area, including recent construction workers..
This location and cover boards to look under is courtesy of Allan Bartlett. Allan guided me to the area and boards. Allan was upset seeing finding this dead rattlesnake, as he had observed this Rattlesnake in the spring of 09. He said it was the largest Helleri he had ever seen.
