Notes
Was looking to see if the slender salis were up yet after first significant storms of season. Had searched one of my best localities for B. major for close to 30 minutes with no luck and had exhausted my known spots. Walking 1/4 mile from where I had previously seen them, I flipped this board next to a horse stable and was surprised to find one underneath. Discoloration of stomach may suggest gravid individual. Ground temp under board where found was 50 degrees F.
