Notes
Three males found within 200', inside 30 minutes. Lengths: 60", 60.5" & 51". All tails were 10" (vent to tip). The first was seen while walking along a cut field; it was in the weeds/cane at the edge of the woods. The second two were lying still on the forrest floor, 20' feet into the woods from the cut field. They were sunning in the thin rays hitting a dirt mound. They were approximately 12" to 18" from each other.
Body color of all three was not typical to the guidebooks. They appeared to be intergrades with black rat snakes.
Comments
I agree Jeff, probably intergrades. Very nice specimens though!
