49 total lizards observed this day during often repeated 7.8-mile mountain bike ride, including Side-blotched (33), Western Fence (2), Desert Spiny (4), and Whiptails (10). Whiptails mostly observed on this same route from April-October, with peak activity April-June during temperature window of ~75-85 degrees F).
The pictured lizard was trapped in a pipe. It was captured by hand and released in adjacent habitat. Apparently, Aspidoscelis tigris stejnegeri near contact zone with A. t. tigris.
