Notes
In shallow rain pool dozens of breeding Rough-skinned Newts seen. One adult male Red-legged, and over 5-dozen R. aurora egg clusters observed. Oddly, the eggs appeared to have been deposited in a pool that will be dry in couple months. The area was recently clear cut by lumber Company and only tree stumps and planted seedlings surrounded the area. Newts observed feeding of R. aurora eggs. Also seen here on February 13, 2002 and March 1, 2002.
