Notes
This turtle was found in a rather large man made pond next to some restaurants in San Bernardino. It appears that the locals are setting their unwanted pets free, as I counted over a dozen very large Sliders. This pond is also inhabited by Koi, which probably keeps any hatching survival by these turtles to a minimum, but I did note at least one half-dollar sized turtle. There are no outlets to any natural water source nearby, but searching the Santa Ana River a few miles away might turn up more of these Turtles.
