Notes
Unique looking adult with brick-red coloration across back, with beige-and-black bars. Measured: SVL 103 mm (4 in.), TL including original tail 286 mm (11¼ in.). One biologist commented it looks like a cross between Panamint and Southern Alligator Lizard. On Oct. 2, 2000, small juvenile examined with typical E. multicarinata characteristic – broad tan dorsal with no dark crossbars. Belly gray with dark lengthwise stripes down middle of scale rows.
