Notes
Two examined – above gray with dark granite-like blotching, underside dark and unmarked. Throat with vague pale blemish. Both were male possessing wide head and projecting maxillary teeth. Specimens measured: SVL 64 mm (2½ in.), TL 113 mm (4½ in.); SVL 64 mm (2½ in.), TL 112 mm (4½ in.). Oddly, salamanders were discovered on south-facing slope. The section is surrounded by the steep cliffs, huge crevices, grass, and small cascading creek. Salamanders were located beside creek in the shadow of the cliffs. The rocks they were located under did not touch the water, but rather rested on other stones that were touching the water. Not wet condition, but rather semi-damp dirt. Dirt that was both damp, but dry enough to be changing to lighter, apparently drying soil.
