Notes
During overcast day, found on paved road leading through canyon. Living and road-kills recognized. Brown dorsal and lower eyelids; entire ventral pale orange. Teeth in roof of mouth in V-shaped arrangement. Most would strike characteristic warning posture and curl tip of tail. Four examined: SVL 76 mm (3 in.), TL 155 mm (6½ in.); SVL 70 mm (2¾ in.), TL 152 mm (6 in.); SVL 70 mm (2¾ in.), TL 159 mm (6¼ in.); SVL 70 mm (2¾ in.) TL 146 mm (5¾ in.). During overcast day, DOR's found on paved road leading through canyon. Brown dorsal and lower eyelids; entire ventral pale orange. Teeth in roof of mouth in V-shaped arrangement. Tarcha torosa were also found during this road-cruise. Newts were also seen at this location on April 29-30, 2007.
