Notes
Happened upon at creek’s edge in grass and on stones. Creek lined with grass, wildflowers, and carnivorous California Pitcher Plants. Frogs were unheeding often allowing remarkably close examination when slowly approached. Disturbed frogs jumped from bank or rock perch and swam to opposite bank or hid among stones or overhanging stream vegetation. Juvenile frogs were strewn about the creek while the larger frogs were found in the largest of the creek’s pools.
