There are several beautiful banded water snakes along the lakes at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. This one was resting next to a smaller female. It was a cool morning in the low 60's. He was warming himself when I approached. It was an extremely docile banded. I've been struck at by many, but this one allowed me to handle it without any problems.
