Was looking for water snakes when I saw a couple fishermen leaning over a railing and pointing. Sure enough, a HUGE water snake was in the ludwigia below them. I got some good looks at him, but unfortunately these pictures are the only ones that were in focus. He must have been at least 2" across and close to 4' long. The fishermen said that it was the third one they'd seen that day, and they had been seen both swimming in open water and hiding in the vegetation. Possibly hybrid with Nerodia clarki.
