Notes
Saw 24 that were positively ID'd between 8:45am and 9:45am. Seven vouchered. They were right on the border area between San Bernardino County and Riverside County - according to Google Earth, these 24 granite spinys were on the Riverside County side of the border.
Comments
When I look at Google Earth it looks like all the hiking we did at this stop was in Riverside County, but then again I don't know how far north you hiked. I think Google Earth is more accurate than Jim's impression of where the county line is, but he sure knows how to find orcutti.
Jim said it was San Bernardino County, but Google Earth places the county line right through the peak of the hill we herped around, meaning that they were split across both counties. What I should do (and perhaps I will) is split the entries across the Google Earth county line with the appropriate lizards on either side.
I believe we were in Riverside County during this stop of the SoCal NAFHA field trip.
