Notes
I have shown this photo to others who are much more "jelly lizard savvy" than myself. And all have said it looks gabrieli to them. Stebbins mentions this ssp. as being found in kenwood creek just north of the 215, this locale is about 3 miles or less as the crow flys from his find. Any input as to if this is gabrieli is welcome...
When I say 3 miles or less, I mean to the East of Kenwood Creek.

http://www.naherp.com/viewrecord.php?r_id=37096, Jonatahn, check out this record. This one was found in a little pocket in a tight canyon just west of Waterman Canyon at around 2100ft.
No problem. That's an interesting elevation - right at the lower boundary, possibly even slightly lower, than where they've been found before. However, this far north B. major is almost never found at elevations that high...and that doesn't look like a B. nigriventris to me. Still, it's enough of an in-between zone that you couldn't rule out major from elevation alone. But I'm leaning towards B. gabrieli as well.
Jonathan, the Elev. is approx. 2300ft after just checking on GE. Sorry, I didn't even realize you made a comment on this record-(even though your comment was from '09...again, sorry)
Brian, I don't. Those are the only pics I have and at that time I had a point and shoot camera.
Hi Jeff, Do you have higher resolution pictures?
How high up was it?
