Notes
Many of these frogs still calling in late June. Seemed strange, but there were many around, sitting on the surface of the water and weeds near the railroad tracks.

I actually just received an email from the DNR about my findings from a couple of years ago. It turns out they had some problems with their email, and did not find my message until just recently. The frog is of special concern in WI, so they want to know when people come across them. They linked me to this site...http://dnr.wi.gov/org/land/er/forms/rare_animal_report.asp
Thanks Corey,
I've actually contacted the DNR a couple of times about them, but they never got back to me about it. It must not have been one of their "priorities" at the time. I'll have to contact Bob directly and see what he has to say.
Wow, this is great. You should report the locality to Bob Hay at the DNR. Even if they already know about it, they like to know things like how many were calling and how many you saw.
