It was completely ridiculous that I found this uta in these conditions on this day. There had been heavy rain on and off for several days, and we were in the middle of the worst morning for the rainstorm. At this elevation, temperatures were well under 50 degrees. He was hiding in a hole in the old electricity pole, and only his tail was visible.
