Notes
Along with other collared lizards, this male in full breeding color was basking on a "petrified log" along a public interpretive trail in Petrified Forest National Park, near Holbrook. The lizards are so accustomed to gawking tourists passing by that it's easy to closely approach them and shoot photos.
