Found out in the open on a cool day (~45 degrees Fahrenheit). There were cricket frogs calling on the edge between the field and forest. This snake was VERY battered looking- possibly scale rot or snake fungal disease, but i'm not sure. It's head was not disfigured- though it did have some "scale problems" on its head too.
*Excuse the poor quality photos, this was the most uncooperative snake i've ever dealt with.

Thank you, Brian. I hate to admit it, but it was a very disgusting snake! Not to mention the nasty musk that kingsnakes have!
