Notes
I was walking a thin game trail on the edge of an east facing slope, when a group of baby Quail bounced across the trail and into a tall tree growing out of the canyon bottom that brushed up against the hillside. As I watched them vanish into a tree, a Red Racer came right behind them and smoothly glided into the tree chasing them, once it saw me, it stopped and directed it's attention at me. I walked around the tree, and down into the bottom of the slope, at this point the snake was approx. 12-15ft off the ground. I snapped what pics I could and lost the snake in the tree. Was a pretty neat observation.
