Notes
New Water Mtns. An adult ovulating female was found in this wash, through out the night-(starting 5-21 and into the am hours of 5-22) we found 3 different males tracking the female, all in the same exact spot. As a joke, we were sitting around a fire close to 3am, I said I was gonna walk over to the lyre HWY to see if there was another male, and sure enough, there was a male right there, which was the only insitu shot we took of this. All 4 are pictured here. Female first-(with a neat stonewashed look to it) and posed shots of 2 males and an insitu shot of the last male. 1 of the males was an almost all black specimen. Neat to see the variety in phenotype of trimorphodons in this range. There was also a 5th Lyre found this night, about 50 yards above the wash in a rock pile and was an adult male.
