Yeah, I've noticed that is what's common in OC and maybe LA as well. I set up a boardline in Irvine that didn't produce nothing but one gopher snake back in 06. I haven't been there since. I need to go check it this year, maybe it was too new. The habitat is grass land with mustard, so there should be kings there. I'd love to just find one like yours.
