Notes
This Tortoise looks to have been severely burned at some point in its life. Evidence of this possibility could be seen in the shrub life in the vicinity. It was found in a high traffic area, so it is a small wonder that it still exists out there. Though haggardly, its eyes are bright, and lack of occlusion around nares indicates good health.
I include three vouchers to show the amount of damage this creature sustained and from which it apparently recovered.
Comments
Crazy, I really hope it was some sort of natural fire...the thought of a human lighting a tort on fire and leaving it is horrible.
