DOR lifers are the worst man. They're bittersweet; first that moment of excitement from seeing something new, and then the realization it's totally dead. Injured on the road are pretty bad too.

Exactly my thoughts. This thing was probably 3 inches thick on the road before it was flattened. There's no way someone wouldn't have seen it since the road was almost completely clear of debris. It was a real heartbreak, as it would have been my lifer.

It seems like anybody half paying attention to the road would see a 4ft snake. I assume DORs like this one are deliberate and I hate seeing it!
