Cottonmouths are definately an underappreciated species, probably because they're so common. They behave much differently than most snakes. I really find their diet interesting. It seems they'll eat just about everything they can find, frogs, fish, salamanders, small mammals, turtles, insects, snakes, roadkill, and even other cottonmouths. They're certainly not picky about what they're eating.

I've really come to appreciate this species. It seems like you can find them any time of the year just about anywhere!
