Awesome! Specks are definitely on my must see list for American snakes!
I thought so as well. It was literally in someones yard, the home owner came out as he saw me kneeling down at the edge of his yard-(natural habitat type yard) when I pointed it to him, he couldn't see it at first. He said he has seen quite a few of them in his yard, but Rosy Boas were the snake he sees most often in his yard. In '06 I found one coming off his yard into the dirt rd.
