Notes
San Bernardino Mtns. Found dead under a rock-(easy insitu shot) had been dead for some time, as the back end of the body was almost broke in half. This is the 2nd time I have found a dead zonata under a rock, both juvies as well. The 1st one had most of the head scales eaten off, or that is what it looked like anyways. The eyes appeared to be eaten out of this one, bugs I would guess?
Comments
I don't know, the broken back half of the body seemed weird to me.
Good entry Jeff, looks like it might have starved to death, very skinny..
