Found With Matthew Gruen. Team effort. I lifted one rock out of the way, while he lifted the large rock the snake was under.

Azusa Canyon Nicolas. In this case Kevin, the rock in question was close to boulder size, Matt had to use both hands and I had to grab the snake. Two man rocks in this case. The rocks and the snake where returned to there original position. After a couple quick photos.

Very nice! When you say rocks, do you mean boulders? I always wonder.
