- ultrafine minnow traps set night before as part of an amphibian population monitoring survey
- traps checked in the morning to reveal three specimens
- tail snipping taken for research as hybridization with Ambystoma jeffersonianum suspected
- tail samples sent to Dr. Bogart at the University of Guelph
- samples revealed that the population is soley Ambystoma laterale.
