Notes
This snapping turtle is believed to have been seen on a number of previous occasions, though never close enough to land for brief capture and actue observation. The diameter of the small pond could be appoximated to 50 metres. The pond is located within a very small conservation area in close proximaty to human development/habitation (and effect starting to show with increasing human clutter on site). Muskrats, Blue herons, red-wing blackbirds, painted turtles, green frogs, and leopard frogs are also known to occupy pond.
