Found in little slit leading up into rock formation. Rattled when I was about 7-8 feet away and eventually retreated underneath the rocks at the base of the slit. Possible integrade with panamint (C.m. stephensi).

hmm If the Panamint is its own species than there should be no intergrades like this check PM....
Yeah, it is right in the intergrade zone. I wasn't really sure how to label it as a subspecies - it could have gone either way.
