It was very cloudy and cool most of the morning, then the sun finally broke out and warmed up the roads. That's when this awesome 5 foot snake appeared.
I saw another, slightly smaller, Baja coachwhip about 30 minutes later, less than a mile away, but I didn't get a photo of it.
Both snakes bolted down burrows when approached.
