Observed from a pontoon boat at the Thousands Islands area of the Bananna River near Cocoa Beach.

I really like the terrapins. I'm always close to the mangroves and it sure makes my day when I see one!

This one was conspicuosly basking between two small islands on the only available basking spot around. I did not see any other individuals. Notice the barnacles on the shell.
