Notes
Target area was shaded and cold this early in the morning, so I drove to an east-facing hillside about a mile away and found this snake immediately under the first board I saw after parking at the base of the hill. Very aggressive but never bit me, even while handling. Instead, continually struck at camera. This is possibly an integrade zone for the subspecies.
